Christhanta Michael Exercise Physiologist-2

Get to know your NDIS exercise physiologist, Christhanta Michael

We’ve asked our very friendly and happy exercise physiologist, Christhanta (Santa) Michael, a couple of questions so that you can get to know her!

Why did you become an exercise physiologist?

I enjoy working with people and have always loved being physically active – so a perfect combination!

What has led to your passion for disability?

I love having a meaningful career that helps me make a difference in someone’s life.  Working in disability gives me the opportunity to go through that walk of life with each client.

I did a placement at neurological clinic when at University and have found a passion for working with people with spinal cord injuries and brain injuries.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy exercising, going out with family and friends

What is your favourite sport or physical activity?

My favourite sport is oztag and I love strength training, my favourite exercise is deadlifting.

In another life, if you weren’t an exercise physiologist, what do you think you’d be doing?

A Paramedic!

What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you? Do you have a hidden talent?

Not a talent but my front tooth is fake – I got hit in the face by a t-bar when I was snow-boarding and lost my tooth.

I also hate chocolate!

What is your favourite movie, book and holiday?

Movie: I love war and action movies but do not have a specific favourite

Book: I don’t enjoy reading so I have actually never finished a whole book except for some motivation books.

Holiday: I love traveling and have a fair few favourites but the top of the list would include Egypt, Greece and Kenya!

Thanks so much to Christhanta for sharing more about herself and her reason for working in disability with our community!! We hope that you’ve enjoyed getting to know her! If you’d like to arrange services with Santa or another of our therapists, please contact us today!
