Course Description
Active Ability is pleased to present ‘Working effectively in the NDIS: Mental Health’. This course has been designed by our co-directors who have 20 + years combined experience working in the disability sector. Active Ability has successfully supported over 2,000 NDIS clients, and this NDIS mental illness course has been designed to share that experience with you.
This course includes the following modules:
Module 1: Mental health pathophysiology
An online module that will allow you to develop an understanding of the pathophysiology and key presentations of a range of mental illness diagnoses.
Module 2: NDIS
Key information regarding the NDIS that is necessary to provide a participant with an excellent allied health intervention, including key definitions, how to read a plan, funding categories & record keeping requirements.
Module 3: mental illness & Exercise Interventions
Explore the evidence related to exercise for those living with a mental illness. Review the evidence-based practice recommendations for the efficacy of exercise for people living with mental illness.
Module 4: Case Studies
Review three case studies to develop your skills in assessment, intervention and report writing for people with mental illness.
