FAQs

Who do your occupational therapists help?

Our experienced occupational therapists work closely with participants living with:

  • Physical or intellectual disability
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, MS)
  • Psychosocial disability
  • Developmental delays
  • Sensory processing difficulties

From Ingleburn and Macquarie Fields down through Leumeah, Ambarvale and St Helens Park, we work with children, teenagers, adults and older participants — and with the families, schools and support teams around them.

Can I use my NDIS funding for occupational therapy?

Yes. Occupational therapy services are typically funded under the Capacity Building budget of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), particularly the Improved Daily Living category. If you’re unsure which part of your plan applies, we can guide you through the process. Contact us to ask a question.

Do you provide reports for NDIS plan reviews?

Yes. Our occupational therapists can prepare comprehensive reports that outline your progress, therapy outcomes, and recommendations to support your plan review or reassessment.

Can you help if I’m self-managed or plan-managed?

Absolutely. We work with self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIS-managed participants. Our team handles the invoicing and reporting requirements to keep the process simple.

Why choose Active Ability?

  • Known in the Macarthur Community
We’ve supported participants right across Campbelltown, building a reputation for dependable, person-centred care that support coordinators return to.
  • On the Ground in the South-West
Our OTs work locally rather than driving down from the other side of Sydney, so appointments are easier to schedule and less of your funding disappears into travel time.
  • Integrated Allied Health Team
Access occupational therapy alongside physiotherapy and dietetics for coordinated, holistic support through one registered NDIS provider.
  • Client-First Philosophy
We take time to understand what matters to you and tailor every part of the service around your goals, preferences, and pace.
  • Clear and Collaborative Communication
Our detailed reports, updates and recommendations are easy to understand. We keep families, coordinators and support teams in the loop.
  • Flexible, Mobile Service Delivery
Therapy delivered wherever you need it: at home, work, school or in the community. We make therapy more accessible.

Do I need a referral to access NDIS occupational therapy?

No referral is required. You can contact us directly, and our team will work with you and your support coordinator or plan manager if needed. Contact us to ask a question.

How do mobile occupational therapy sessions work?

There’s no clinic to get to. Your OT comes to wherever the therapy makes most sense — your house, your child’s school or preschool, your workplace, or somewhere in the community like a local park, pool or gym.

The advantage is that we see the real thing rather than a description of it. The actual step at your front door, the actual desk your child struggles to sit still at, the actual bathroom you’re trying to manage independently. Recommendations that come out of that tend to hold up, because they were worked out in the setting you’ll be using them in.

Which suburbs around Campbelltown do you cover?

We provide mobile occupational therapy throughout the Campbelltown local government area and the wider Macarthur region — including Campbelltown, Leumeah, Minto, Ingleburn, Macquarie Fields, Glenfield, Ruse, Bradbury, Ambarvale, Rosemeadow, Glen Alpine, St Helens Park, Woodbine, Airds, Claymore, Eagle Vale, Eschol Park and Raby.

Not sure whether we reach you? Get in touch and we’ll tell you straight away. Contact us to ask a question.
