More about exercise physiology and the NDIS
What is an Exercise Physiologist?
Exercise as medicine!
An exercise physiologist is an allied health professional who uses exercise to help you achieve your goals and improve your health. Our exercise physiologists will complete an assessment and provide physical activity recommendations based on your goals, medical history and current level of function or fitness.
We’ll then help you put our exercise recommendations in place by designing an exercise program and teaching you (or your supports) to complete it safely and effectively.
At Active Ability, we are passionate about improving the health, wellbeing and activities of daily living for our clientele. Our mission is to support people with disability to achieve optimal independence, health and quality of life.
Our staff specialise in working with people who have intellectual disability, mental illness, and neurological conditions. Active Ability is registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and all private health insurers that recognise our services.
At Active Ability, we see clients throughout the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, Southwest Sydney, Campbelltown, the Northern Beaches, North Shore as well as the Sutherland Shire, Parramatta City, Ryde City, Blacktown City, Wollongong, and The Hills Shire. We also provide a service on the Sunshine Coast.
