Get to know your NDIS dietitian, Silvana Mackovska
We’ve asked our caring and supportive dietitian, Silvana Mackovska, a couple of questions so that you can get to know her!
Why did you become a dietitian?
I have a love and passion for food, it’s interaction with the body, and the care and coordination required to provide medical nutrition therapy for specific diseases and conditions.
What has led to your passion for disability?
I have always enjoyed being innovative with resources and providing person-centred care. Working within the disability sector means that I can build these skills and challenge myself, with lifelong learning and professional development.

I love walking, going out with family and friends, playing soccer and binge-watching TV shows and movies.
What is your favourite food?
I do love my cultural foods from Macedonia including Sarma and Kifli, and I also love Thai food.
In another life, if you weren’t a dietitian, what do you think you’d be doing?
I would like to have been a professional soccer player.
What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you? Do you have a hidden talent?
I can play the piano, and was also able to play the violin at a young age.
Favourite holiday?
My favourite holiday would be when I went to Europe in 2011 and experiences a European summer.
