Phoebe Tudhope Exercise Physiologist 2

Get to know your NDIS exercise physiologist, Phoebe Tudhope

We’ve asked our happy and super friendly exercise physiologist, Phoebe, a couple of questions so that you can get to know her!

Why did you become an exercise physiologist?

I wanted to become an exercise physiologist as I have a keen interest in sports and exercise, the human body and how it works and I wanted a rewarding job that involved helping people in the community.

What has led to your passion for disability?

Growing up with a brother with Cerebral Palsy has really led to my passion for disability and wanting to work in this space as I have seen first-hand all the benefits it has on someone.

Do you have a memorable experience of assisting a client to achieve their goals that you’d like to share?

My most memorable client was during my 10-week uni placement. It was a woman who couldn’t squat because of the arthritis in her knees. At the end of my 10 weeks with her we had her doing 3 to 5 sit to stands at the end of her sessions. She was so happy and appreciative. I was so glad I was able to watch her improve and help her reach her goals.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I usually spend most of my spare time at the beach and going for a swim. Otherwise, I love spending time with friends, reading or playing sport.

What is your favourite sport or physical activity?

My favourite activity is skiing!

In another life, if you weren’t an exercise physiologist, what do you think you’d be doing?

I would be a professional ski racer!

What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you? Do you have a hidden talent?

My hidden talent is that I can juggle.

What is your favourite movie, book and holiday?

Movie: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Book: I Am Pilgrim

Holiday: Ski holidays!
