Get to know your NDIS exercise physiologist, Isabel Rondoni
We’ve asked our energetic and always happy exercise physiologist, Isabel Rondoni, a couple of questions so that you can get to know her!
Why did you become an exercise physiologist?
I’ve always been super passionate about all things health and fitness and wanted to use my knowledge to allow people to be the best version of themselves and have fun at the same time! Movement is medicine!!
What has led to your passion for disability?
When working in the area of disability, I have the ability to have a profound impact on another person’s life. I love helping people and seeing them become more independent and confident in their own abilities. Every day on the job is different, and you’re constantly being challenged and learning something new. I find it extremely rewarding.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy going on big walks or heading to the beach! I also enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, reading books and hanging out with friends.
What is your favourite sport or physical activity?
I love lots of sports, but tennis and soccer are some of my favourites to play. I also like running, as well as doing yoga, reformer pilates and going to the gym!
In another life, if you weren’t an EP, what do you think you’d be doing?
I’ve always been fascinated by all things healthcare and have always seen myself working in this area. If I weren’t an exercise physiologist, I think I’d love to be either an occupational therapist or a midwife.
What is one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you? Do you have a hidden talent?
I can move my tongue into a W shape!!
What is your favourite movie, book and holiday?
Movie: Coach Carter
Book: Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
Holiday: Japan
